Investigators Play Poker During Visits to “The Lodge”

On April 17, 2025, the TABC conducted an undercover operation at “The Lodge,” during which several agents visited the establishment on multiple occasions and played poker. For the first visit, each agent was allocated $600 for gambling. Agent Tig purchased $200 worth of chips, and Agent Alfaro purchased $100 worth; both played a no-limit cash game with $1/$2 stakes.

Each undercover agent carefully recorded the number of chips purchased, drinks ordered during the game, the presence of security guards, and the amount won or lost in each session. The second undercover operation took place on May 9, 2025.

Four more undercover poker operations were conducted, the last of which took place on January 30, 2026. During the final session, Agent Tig approached the manager with a request to organize a private poker game at The Lodge.
